TIVOLI HJØRNET, Copenhagen

On a prime location in central Copenhagen lies Tivoli, the most famous amusement park in Denmark. Tivoli has been around for 175 years but is constantly evolving. The latest project is the Tivoli Edge (Tivoli Hjørnet) which develops and open up the park towards Bernstorffsgade, a connection that has been cut for many years.

SG designed and deliverer the complete two-shell façade stretching along the 100meters long façade. The inner façade is in large extent modularized. Only the insulated glass panes are mounted on site, due to that there are no vertical profiles in the glass joints.

The outer single pane is beautifully curved creating a seemingly seamless skin providing unity to the façade as well as protection for the sunscreen.
