Grand opening of Clarion Hotel Post.

A new hotel built with Skandinaviska Glassystem premanufactured façade panels, opens up in Gothenburg.

–“We are proud to be a part of such an significant landmark in the very center of Gothenburg” says
Jerker Lundgren, Managing Director at Skandinaviska Glassystem AB.

The northern façade is clad with slate from Argentina adhered to composite board using a special
technique, whilst the southern façade is clad with pre-oxidized copper sheeting fastened to the
façade modules

Both these materials can be found on the original Post office building from 1925.

One challenge of the project has been the transportation of prefabricated modules into the heavily
trafficked area around the site.
