SG signs for the towers at the new “Clarion Hotel Post” in Gothenburg.
2010-06-17
The base building is the historical Main Post Office that is being restored externally
and rebuilt to a modern hotel internally. In the court yard of the old building (raises)
a new 13 story tower raises. The tower is divided by a glass slit separating the two
very different façades. Facing north the tower has a Slate and Glass cladding while
the south side is covered with pre oxidized Copper and Glass.
“The challenge will be to maintain a constant logistic flow all through the project”
says Jerker Johansson, the project leader at SG. There is no room on site to store
any materials. All façade elements will be pre manufactured in SG´s factory in Lysekil
and transported to the site in a specific installation order.”
